SALEE' AMINA HAS EXTRAORDINARY RELATIONSHIPS WITH MUSLIM COUNTRIES:

•  In 1981, SaLee' Amina was presented with a written commendation at the command of His Majesty King Khaled.  She was commended by the Saudi King for promoting Islam in the West & correcting misunderstandings about Islam. At the time, the Saudi King had never conveyed a written commendation to a woman, nor to an American.   The Saudi kings' commendation was presented to "SaLee' Louise Barnes" by Saudi Ambassador Al-Romeh, which was before she had her name amended in Dubai Islamic Court to "SaLee' Amina Mohammed".  This adaptation to her full legal name was cross referenced with all USA federal & state government  agencies, & was published in the news.
• SaLee' brought 1,576 people into Islam, most of whom previously had no faith.
• In 1998, she was designated as an Honorary Ambassador of Goodwill for islamic & Arabian Cultures.

In her role as Ambassador of Goodwill, she has been instrumental in defusing misunderstandings between members of different religions and has been an effective participant in several inter-faith dialogues. 

Originally, as a student delegate to the United Nations, and later as an award winning public speaker and activist for Peace, Civil Rights and Social Justice, Dr. SaLee' Amina has appeared at many important functions, often using her celebrity status to promote good will and conflict resolution, and to improve international relations.   

Holding the honorary title of 'Ambassador of Goodwill', (which was assigned to her by the former Deputy Consul General of Saudi Arabia,) Dr. SaLee' Amina has appeared at numerous events to promote interfaith dialogue, Middle East Peace, International trade and understanding of the Islamic religion and Arabic culture, which she has done continuously for over three decades, since converting to Islam in 1980.   

(From 2003 to 2007, Dr. SaLee' Amina was semi-paralyzed, in a motorized wheelchair, from a debilitating disease, Rhabdomyolysis; which she contracted from taking a prescribed medication, which had very serious side effects on her that were almost fatal.  Despite dire medical prognosis, her determination won out, and by 2007, she began walking for short periods, with the aid of a cane. She immediately continued her Humanitarian work & commitments as an Ambassador of Goodwill.   

As an Ambassador of Goodwill for Islamic & Arabian Cultures, Dr. SaLee' Amina has been interviewed on Fox News, ABC, NBC, KTLA, C-Span, WTTW Chicago, Beirut TV, Saudi TV, Pakistan TV and Dubai TV and Radio, and other stations on different topics pertaining to the Islamic religion. Having previously established herself as an expert in investment and business, and being considered an expert on the Middle East, she is often requested to speak to community organizations, schools and political leaders in her capacity as an effective liaison between the Western and Middle Eastern cultures.  

• 2019 - SaLee' spoke on KPFK Radio about eliminating racism & prejudice against people of color & those of other religions, cultures or heritage.
• 2018 - SaLee' was invited by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs of UAE as an Associate Sponsor of the Global Forum on Agriculture.2017 - SaLee' appeared on television in Utah, being interviewed on the Trump travel ban on Muslims, Saudi Arabia & Sharia Law. 
• 2018, she was a Speaker at the Interfaith World Peace Seminar in Los Angeles.
• 2017, she was a guest on television in Utah, where she explained Islam and its comparison to Christianity & Judaism; and where she defended Sharia law against criticism and explained the numerous points of agreement as regards Jesus, in Islam.
•  2017, SaLee' was on the Speakers Panel at 'Peace Sunday,' an event honoring The United Nations International Day of Peace.  SPEAKERS INCLUDED:   Dr. SaLee' Amina Mohammed - Ambassador of Goodwill for Islamic Culture; Congresswoman Karen Bass, Edward McCullough - Scientist Nuclear/Chemical Engineer, Rev. • 2016, she was a liaison who assisted in coordinating guests of the Interfaith Conference in Abu Dhabi, which was reported in the official magazine of the Mormon (Latter Day Saint) religion, "Ensign."
• 2016 – SaLee' was the main writer & editor of an English translation & "Universal Interpretation" of The Holy Quran. Much of it was a duplicate of the 2012 "American Interpretation" that SaLee' Amina had authored. The 2016 publication does not contain SaLee' Amina Mohammed's name, but all concerned know that she did the MAJORITY of the writing, although a local Egyptian Imam put his name alone on her work, & it is being used to raise money for a mosque in the L.A. • 2012 - SaLee' wrote "An American Interpretation of the Holy Quran". (Much of her work in that book was transcribed into a newer release of a "Universal Interpretation" of the Holy Quran, which was SaLee's idea and mostly her writing however, her name does not appear in the new book, which is being marketed by a Director & Imam [leader of the prayers] of a mosque in the L.A. area). SaLee's 'American interpretation' of an English translation of the Holy Quran. It was extremely easy for any newcomer to read & understand. Much of her 2012 'American Interpretation' work was incorporated into a 2016 published "Universal Interpretation' of the Holy Quran, which was assembled by an Imam of a mosque.  The fruits of her professional writing is now being marketed by a Director & Imam of a mosque in the Los Angeles of California, reportedly resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars being raised, due to her hard work & talented writing. However, her name does not appear anywhere in that book, nor was she paid anything for her writing, nor has she been given any percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the book or donations raised through it, nor has she been given even the slightest acknowledgment .

• 2008 - SaLee' took part in the free distribution of food to impoverished people in Northern Pakistan, during the month of Ramadan.  Each person received free bags of rice, flour and lentils, all day long, throughout the month. SaLee' donated her time and money to this cause.
• 2008 – Assisted with Humanitarian Food Relief in PAKISTAN (Sponsor, in association with The Kiwanis Club and the Mayor of Karachi.)
• 2008, after being semi-paralyzed for 4 & 1/2 years, in a motorized wheelchair, SaLee' could walk enough to make a visit to the Arabian Gulf, followed by another in 2009, which was followed by a stay in the United Arab Emirates, where she attended the Dubai School of Government, sponsored by the JFK School of Government at Harvard University. 
• 2008, Dr. SaLee' Amina, still sometimes needing help walking or standing, spent Ramadan helping in a food distribution program for the poor people of Northern Karachi.
• 2007, Dr. SaLee' Amina wrote a series of articles on Islamic topics for the Pakistan News, and was honored at a reception for Pakistan News, where she spoke about the importance of Pakistan as an Islamic region as well as a leading economic emerging economy.

• 1998 - The Saudi embassy invited Dr. SaLee' Amina as their guest at the Arab American Awards dinner, in Los Angeles, California, hosted by the famous radio personality, Kasey Kasem.  
• 1998 - SaLee' Amina was a Speaker at the inauguration of the King Fahd mosque in Culver City, CA.
• 1998 – International Day of the Family LA sports arena, LOS ANGELES, CA. (SaLee' was a Speaker, sharing the stage with the Imams of the two most holy mosques – Mecca and Madina, Saudi Arabia, and a Prince from the Al-Saud Family.

• 1998-2019 - SaLee' Amina did all activities & presentations of explaining & defending Islam, & correcting misunderstandings about Islam, at her own cost, with no pay whatsoever, nor reimbursement of expenses.  Throughout twenty years of bringing Islam to the World, correcting negative views against Islam and the Arabs and comparing Islam as a sister religion to Christianity and Judaism, SaLee' never requested, and she never received, any reward or payment from anyone.  
• 1998 - Upon forming a business partnership with His Highness Prince Mutaaz Bin Saud Al-Saud (a son of the late King Saud), during the time that Prince Mutaaz was Deputy Director of the Saudi National Guard (while Crown Prince Abdulla Al-Saud (who later became King Abdulla) was Director of the National Guard.  Therefore, SaLee's business relationship with King Abdullah existed before he took the throne as king of Saudi Arabia.
• 1998 - Although the  prestigious position of Honorary Ambassador of Goodwill for Islamic Culture was bestowed upon her by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Deputy Consul General in USA, at L.A., she was not an employee of Saudi, nor has she ever been an employee of the U.S government.  All of the costs of twenty years of service, which resulted in 1,576 people embracing Islam, and millions of people being exposed to correct information about Islam.
• In 1998, she gave 8 speeches at the Islamic Unity Conference in Washington D.C., with an accent on the fact that Islam, Christianity and Judaism are "Sister Religions."

• 1993 - SaLee' was a consultant to Her Highness Princess Alanoud, wife of King Fahd of Saudi, during the stay of Her Highness in Scottsdale Arizona and in Santa Barbara, California.  During that time, SaLee' baked many special pastries for the Saudi entourage, and some of the staff of her Highness came to the Natural Health Clinic of Dr. SaLee' Amina for natural supplements and natural treatments for their physical and medical problems. SaLee's clinic had 21 medical practitioners and several modalities which used only natural methods and no pharmaceuticals.  However, Her Highness did not personally attend SaLee's clinics, choosing to remain with traditional pharmaceutical treatment and surgeries at St. Joseph's hospital in Scottsdale and elsewhere.

• 1983 - SaLee' was a VIP guest of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan at Kuwait Hilton, while she was she was advising the Kuwait Secretary General of the Supreme Council on Civil Aviation. 
• 1982 - SaLee was a VIP Guest of the UAE Armed Forces.1982 - SaLee advised on Abuja Project for President of Nigeria, Shehu Shagari.
• 1982 - SaLee' assisted HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan in his acquisition of $2.5 million in Chinese Antiques.
• HH Sheikh Mohammed requested SaLee' Amina's involvement in procuring Air Defense equipment & military helicopters from the USA.
• 1982 - SaLee' established humanitarian programs in Africa for water wells, mobile medical clinics, mobile schools & libraries; as well as agriculture & aquaculture projects.
• 1981 - SaLee' sold "The Star of Peace" diamond ($22 million USD, 170.49 carats, Flawless) to a Ruler in the Arabian Gulf.

• 1981 – Private investment Department of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan (SaLee' was hired, face-to-face, by HH Sheikh Zayed, in Laussane Switzerland, April 1981 to handle investments in Europe & America - $30 billion / yr on oil revenue alone).
• 1981 - SaLee' became advisor to Minister of Information & Culture, who introduced her to HH Sheikh Zayed, the President of the UAE, as a potential advisor on investments.
• 1981 - Dr. SaLee Amina was first invited to Saudi Arabia by Her Highness Princess Noaf Bint Abdul Aziz Bin Saud, a daughter of the first King of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz Al-Saud
• 1980 (Sept 26) - SaLee' evacuated refugees (women & children) from the Iran/Iraq war, via Jordan, in her private Jet, provided for her use by a clients who were the Minister of Information & Culture of UAE, and NBC News and Arab Wings; putting her own life at risk for the sake of saving lives of people she did not even know. The  cost for each trip between Dubai and Amman Jordan, to bring refugees from the war was approximately $5,000.00 per trip, which SaLee' agreed to pay, so as to save lives. 
• 1980 - SaLee' became a consultant to an organization directed by His Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, which interfaced with the World Health Organization & United Nations UNICEF. (Prince Talal was the father of Prince 'Al-Waleed' Bin Talal Al-Saud. Several years later, SaLee' became business partners with Prince Talal's son-in-law, who was Prince Al-Waleed's brother-in-law).
• 1980 - SaLee' became associated in business projects with His Excellency Sheikh Saeed Al-Otaiba, who was then the head of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, & the father to the oil Minister, Mana Al-Otaiba (See magazine article at bottom of this website of SaLee' with Saudi Oil Minister Sheikh Zaki Yemani.) SaLee's daughter attended school in Adu Dhabi with Saeed Al-Otaiba's daughter, Musa. SaLee's friend, Saeed Al-Otaiba, is the grandfather of the present (2019) UAE Ambassador to USA, Yousef Al-Otaiba.
• 1980 - Initially, SaLee' was invited to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Princess Noaf Bint Abdul Aziz, Dr. SaLee' Amina returned to Saudi to visit the Holy Places in 1987 & several times thereafter. 
• 1980 - SaLee' arrived in Dubai, as An advisor to a film company that was sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Hasher Al-Maktoum, of the Royal Family of Dubai. (Sheikh Hasher has known SaLee' Amina for 38 years).

She immediately embarked on a mission to explain Islam to Westerners, and she gave lectures throughout Europe and the United States. A year later, His Majesty King Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, of Saudi Arabia, issued a written commendation for Dr. SaLee' Amina's laudable service in expanding Islam in the world and for effectively correcting misunderstandings about Islam in the West. This was hand delivered to her by Ambassador Romeh, in the UAE.

In London, in 1986, Dr. SaLee' Amina was invited to participate in a conference of Christians, Jews and Muslims; where Rabbis, Imams, Priests, nuns, ministers and laymen discussed their similarities in theology and the greater similarities in purpose of the three 'sister' religions.

Initially having visited Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Princess Nowaf Bint Abdul Aziz, Dr. SaLee' Amina returned to Saudi to visit the Holy Places in 1987, after she had re-married (although the marriage only lasted 4 months.) She has remained unmarried since then and has independently raised her three children, educating them about Islam, as well as exposing them to the diverse cultures and theologies throughout the world. Despite a hectic schedule, her children had often accompanied her, in her business, charities and travels, throughout the world; while usually attending schools in Beverly Hills, California, and using tutors during their travels. (Now, all of her children are in university and post-graduate studies, in the United States.)

In July, 1998, Dr. SaLee' Amina was the only woman speaker (except for the mayor) invited by King, Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud to give her public commentary at the Inauguration ceremony of the King Fahd mosque in Culver City (Los Angeles.) In an expression of gratitude to His Majesty, for donating $10 million for the construction and administration of the mosque, Dr. SaLee' Amina organized the Muslim children to make giant greeting cards, wreaths, bouquets of flowers and gifts for His Majesty and all members of his entourage, thanking him for his generosity to the community. All of the children's activities were financed by her personally.

At the 'International Day of the Family' conference, held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena, Dr. SaLee' Amina Mohammed delivered a speech on the importance of family values and quoting Quranic advice regarding marriage, children, women and families. She was accompanied on stage by the two highest ranking leaders in the Islamic religion - the head of the main mosque in Mecca and the head of the Prophet Mohammed's mosque in Medina [Saudi Arabia,] as well as by one of the Princes of the Saudi royal family.

On August 11, 1998, she was a speaker at an International Interfaith Unity Conference, which was broadcasted on C-SPAN, where she appeared with Congressmen and former Presidential candidate, Dennis Kucinich, Congressman McDermott, the President of Chechnya, the Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Charitable Foundation, the ambassadors of Bosnia, Chechnya, Pakistan and Indonesia, the minister of education of Kuwait and other V.I.P.s.. In one of her eight speeches at the Islamic Unity Conference, Dr. SaLee' Amina closed her speech with the 'The Lord's Prayer,' from the Bible, followed by the similar Opening Prayer ('Al-Fatihah') of the Holy Koran. She described Islam, Judaism and Christianity as sister religions, praying similarly to the same God. She delivered an 'Invitation to Peace', receiving several standing ovations.

In 2002, she was invited by the Saudi Arabian embassy in Washington D.C. to attend a banquet which featured community leaders and law enforcement officials in Los Angeles.

The Saudi embassy also invited Dr. SaLee' Amina as their guest at the Arab Americans Awards dinner, in Los Angeles, California.

(From 2003 to 2007, Dr. SaLee' Amina was paralyzed, in a motorized wheelchair, from a debilitating disease, Rhabdomyolysis. Despite dire medical prognosis, her determination won out, and by 2007, she began walking for short periods, with the aid of a cane.)

In 2007, Dr. SaLee' Amina wrote a series of articles on Islamic topics for the Pakistan News, and was honored at a reception for Pakistan News, where she spoke about the importance of Pakistan as an Islamic region as well as a leading economic emerging economy. In 2008, Dr. SaLee' Amina, still sometimes needing help walking or standing, spent Ramadan helping in a food distribution program for the poor people of Northern Karachi, along with the international Kiwanis Club.

In September of 2008, she could walk enough to make a visit to the Arabian Gulf, followed by another in 2009, which was followed by a stay in the United Arab Emirates, where she attended the Dubai School of Government, sponsored by the JFK School of Government at Harvard University. She anticipates another visit to the Arabian Gulf in late 2011.

Now, Dr. SaLee' Amina Mohammed is at Harvard University, as a post-graduate student (in Global Economics) and as a temporary teaching assistant. Dr. SaLee' Amina has been interviewed on Fox News, ABC, NBC, KTLA, C-Span, WTTW Chicago, Beirut TV, Saudi TV, Pakistan TV and Dubai TV and Radio, and other stations on different topics pertaining to the Islamic religion. Having previously established herself as an expert in investment and business, and being considered an expert on the Middle East, she is often requested to speak to community organizations, schools and political leaders in her capacity as an effective liaison between the Western and Middle Eastern cultures.

Demonstrating the many similarities in Islam, Judaism and Christianity, Dr. SaLee' Amina has been involved in several interfaith projects, internationally. During a Christmas event, Dr. SaLee' Amina was involved with a group who arranged for the reading of the chapter describing the annunciation and the virgin birth of Jesus from ‘the Holy Koran,' which was performed live for 6,000 Christians and was exposed to millions of viewers on television.

In her role as Ambassador of Goodwill, she has been instrumental in defusing misunderstandings between members of different religions and has been an effective participant in several inter-faith dialogues.
